In case you did not get the memo, or for others who might be asking whats new with it, or maybe for who already switched to chrome.
It’s releasing and it has big improvements as per Mozilla especially the speed and the mem-hog issue, they have this chrome incognito thing too, tracemonkey the javascript engine, and ohh yeah everybody’s favorite because it’s “new” HTML5
But I wont be expecting a billion downloads this time, especially chrome has been gaining some users already
Yahoo Mail! has a new feature, it can run apps in you inbox, apps like paypal and picnik, these apps are connected to your inbox info, mail, files.
How does it work?
Run apps inside the yahoo mail web ui, these apps integrates with you inbox info, on its first run it will ask you if you want to connect your inbox files to the apps like facebook apps,
e.g. picnik, this app can open your inbox picture files mostly photos attached in your mail and you can edit or create directly inside yahoo mail.
Was it any cool?
It’s not, not yet, maybe a cool app will be developed that maximizes the inbox info on your yahoo mail, ahmm I’m thinking of twitter why not, “AGAIN….”, or some kinda timeline tool like plurk timeline, see you inbox message in timeline mode.
FB’s presence bar is one of the UI feature I loved a lot, its the gray bar at the bottom of the fb page where chat and messages are accessed. Its presence presents quick access, so If I scroll down I dont need to go back up or go down low just to access the usual fb links, or applications like mafia wars, chat and etc. Quick and conveniece gets the job done.
This UI feature should only be present on FB, this feature should also be on
1. non panel or framed email apps
2. Web apps with long lists
3. mobile apps, this should be a must.
4. Web pages or apps with big content and many activities.
Way cooler than wii no controls required, you become the controller, cool games so far hope their cheap will they also have an isotre like to download games since this now connects to the web, and also a new way of browsing the web
